WOODY PERFUMES

We classify “wood” notes into several categories: dry, moist, moss, amber, smoky, resinous. Woody notes have really gained importance by becoming a dominant family in perfumes since the end of the 50s with the fashion for “mono-Vetiver”. The most emblematic materials are cedar, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood. , oak moss and more recently amber woods. (Ex: Cashmeran, Ambroxan).
